What we collect
Analytics
We record aggregate traffic data — pages viewed, referring site, approximate country, device type — to understand which guides are useful. This is used in aggregate and is not used to build a profile of you personally.
If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store the address you give us and the date you subscribed, for the sole purpose of sending that newsletter. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes your address.
Messages you send us
If you email us, we keep the message so we can reply and, where relevant, act on a correction.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Third parties we link to — retailers reached through affiliate links — may set their own cookies once you land on their site, under their own privacy policies. Affiliate tracking typically works through a cookie that records that the referral came from here.
What we never do
- Sell, rent or trade your email address or any other personal data.
- Send email you did not ask for.
- Collect payment details — no transaction happens on this site.
Your rights
You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@bassfishing.us and we will act within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the GDPR (EEA/UK) or the CCPA/CPRA (California); we honour those requests regardless of where you are.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it and the change is described here.
